ED raid in Jharkhand: ED takes swift action on Bangladeshi infiltration, raids 17 places in Jharkhand and West Bengal before assembly elections
ED raid in Jharkhand: The big news of this time has come from Jharkhand and West Bengal. Before the assembly elections, ED has raided 17 places in Jharkhand and West Bengal. The matter is related to Bangladeshi infiltration in Jharkhand. According to news agency ANI, officials of ED’s Jharkhand office are conducting raids and searches at a total of 17 places in Jharkhand and West Bengal simultaneously.
Let us inform you that in September, the ED had registered a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to investigate a case of alleged infiltration and smuggling of some Bangladeshi women in Jharkhand. It is alleged that criminal proceeds have been earned from infiltration and smuggling.
Earlier, on Monday (November 11), the NIA raided nine states of the country and took action against the network of Bangladeshis and Al Qaeda. In this raid, it was revealed that the suspected Bangladeshis are funding Al Qaeda and how they are a threat to the internal security of the country.

PM Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders have recently accused the state government of promoting such infiltration during the election campaign. This has changed the demographic landscape of the tribal-dominated Santhal Pargana and Kolhan areas. The Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) registered by the federal agency under various sections of PMLA is based on an FIR of Jharkhand Police registered in June at Bariatu police station in the capital Ranchi.
Voting in two phases on November 13 and 20.

Out of the 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand, the first phase of voting will be held on November 13, 2024 for 43 seats. The second phase will be held on November 20 , 2024 for 38 seats. The counting of votes will be on November 23 , 2024 .
