Ensure Holistic Development of Tribal-Dominated Villages Through Public Participation: CM Vishnu Deo Sai Directs in Review of “Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan”

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai On August6, 2025 chaired a review meeting of the “Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan” at the Mahanadi Bhavan, Mantralaya, and issued directives to ensure holistic development of tribal-dominated villages through active public participation.

CM Sai stated that under the “Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan”, the national goal is to build 20 lakh volunteers in tribal-dominated villages across the country, with Chhattisgarh actively contributing to this mission. He said that the state aims to train 1,32,400 volunteers, and emphasised that this goal should be achieved in a time-bound manner through community engagement and awareness. He further instructed officials to actively involve youth in creative volunteering activities.

CM Sai added that any critical gaps in basic infrastructure and amenities in the tribal-dominated villages should be identified and discussed during Gram Sabhas on October 2, 2025. He directed that concrete steps should be taken, in collaboration with local administration, to fill these gaps and ensure every village is saturated with fundamental services.

On August 6, 2025 CM Sai chaired a review meeting of the “Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan” at the Mahanadi Bhavan, Mantralaya, and issued directives to ensure holistic development of tribal-dominated villages through active public participation, where Principal Secretary to the Tribal Welfare Department , Principal Secretory to Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, Joint Secretary Dr. Ravi Mittal, Commissioner of the Tribal Welfare Department Dr. Saransh Mittar, and other departmental officials were present in the review meeting-Photo Credit -CG/PR

During the meeting, Principal Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department, Sonmoni Borah, informed that ‘Adi Seva Kendras ‘ will be established in the villages under this campaign. These centres will not only assist in the delivery of essential services, but also play a crucial role in ensuring continuous implementation of schemes and programmes. He added that saturation-based initiatives like Dharti Aba and PM-Janman have also been launched to empower tribal communities socio-economically. Through these efforts, housing, paved roads, drinking water, Anganwadi centres, and healthcare services are being made available in tribal-dominated villages and PVTG habitations.

It was further informed in the meeting that the state-level master trainer programme under “Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan” was successfully conducted between July 22 and 28, 2025, and the list of district-level master trainers has been forwarded to the Government of India. Upcoming activities include training of master trainers at district and block levels, along with other planned programmes which will soon be rolled out.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, Joint Secretary Dr. Ravi Mittal, Commissioner of the Tribal Welfare Department Dr. Saransh Mittar, and other departmental officials.
