This facility was kept on trial for the last several days and better results were seen. Due to this facility, passengers will now be able to travel better in much less time. The benefit of this facility has also been made available to Indore’s International Devi Ahilya Airport.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously running a campaign to promote digitization and under this, DG Yatra Seva was formally inaugurated today. This inauguration was done virtually by Union Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu from Visakhapatnam. MP Shankar Lalwani, Airport official Vipin Seth and other dignitaries were present at this ceremony in Indore.
Instead of showing identity related documents, passengers are checked only by showing their face through biometric verification. Today, the Aviation Minister started this service at a total of 9 airports in the country including Visakhapatnam Airport. In the ceremony held in Indore, the minister virtually launched the service by installing a big screen in the terminal. On this occasion, passengers were informed about this service and gifts were also given to those who used the service. On the launch of this facility, MP Shankar Lalwani said that DG Seva has been launched at Devi Ahilya Airport of Indore, one of the major airports of the country, which will provide relief to the passengers from the facility of carrying documents and losing them.
