Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Chairs High-Level Review Meeting to Ensure Transparent and Time-Bound Recruitment Exams
Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials at Mahanadi Bhawan on Monday January 5 to conduct a comprehensive review of various recruitment examinations being held across Chhattisgarh. The primary objective of the meeting was to ensure that all recruitment processes are conducted in a fully transparent, fair, and time-bound manner. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma was also present during the review.
The Chief Minister stated that young aspirants prepare for competitive examinations with immense hard work and dedication, and it is the government’s firm commitment that they face no injustice at any stage of the process.
He directed that all recruitment examinations must be conducted with complete transparency and that the examination system should be further strengthened in line with emerging challenges.
He made it clear that negligence or irregularities at any level of the recruitment process will not be tolerated, and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure absolute fairness and transparency.
Emphasising the importance of maintaining the sanctity of examinations, the Chief Minister stated that every possible step will be taken to enhance transparency, ensuring that no questions are raised about the credibility of recruitment processes.
He underlined that reforming and strengthening the recruitment system remains one of the government’s top priorities, which will help make the system simpler, more just, and strictly time-bound. During the meeting, the recruitment processes underway in various departments, including the police force, were reviewed in detail, and instructions were issued to enhance the effectiveness and reliability of the selection system.
The meeting also discussed the existing practice of different departments conducting separate examinations for posts with similar eligibility criteria. In this context, the proposal to conduct joint recruitment examinations for posts with the same qualifications was discussed. Such a move is expected to save time and resources, while also ensuring the timely availability of human resources to departments.
Detailed discussions were also held on modernising the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission’s examination system to make it more contemporary, transparent, and candidate-friendly. The Chief Minister emphasised that the syllabus for competitive examinations should be made more relevant by aligning it with current requirements and contemporary issues.
