Raipur: The Food and Civil Supplies Department has made registration on the Agristack portal mandatory for farmers to purchase paddy at the support price in the Kharif marketing year 2025-26. For any information or assistance related to the Agristack portal, you can contact the toll-free number 1800-233-1030.

Food Secretary Reena Babasaheb Kangale informed that the Agristack portal is a unified agricultural database developed by the Government of India, where farmers are registered based on their land and Aadhaar linked information. Upon registration, farmers receive a Unique Farmer ID. This Aadhaar-linked database will play a crucial role in ensuring that the benefits of various government schemes reach only the truly eligible farmers.

In Chhattisgarh, payments are made directly to farmers under the support price (SMP) paddy procurement scheme. Therefore, the government’s intention is to ensure that all eligible farmers receive the true benefits of this scheme, ensuring good governance and transparency. The Aadhaar-based registration and e-KYC system in Agristack will ensure greater transparency, accuracy, and accountability throughout the process.

Last year, 25.49 lakh farmers in the state sold paddy. In the current year, 21.47 lakh farmers have registered on the Agristack portal. The remaining farmers can register by visiting their nearest cooperative society or designated center until October 31, 2025. Necessary instructions have already been issued to all societies and district collectors in this regard.

The state government has clarified that the Agristack portal will prove to be a milestone in the digital revolution, making the paddy procurement system in Chhattisgarh transparent, accurate, and farmer-friendly.

It is worth mentioning that this year, digital crop surveys have been conducted in 13,879 centers of the state’s 20,000 villages. The reports from this digital crop survey and manual Girdawari are being read out in Gram Sabhas from October 2nd to 14th, 2025. Public announcements have been made in each Panchayat, and the survey list has been displayed (posted) in Panchayat buildings.

This process is being continuously monitored by the District Collector, Food Officers, and senior administrative officials. This initiative is a powerful and visionary step by the state towards “digital agriculture and good governance.”
