Raipur: The grand finale of the 14th All India Police Archery Competition 2025-26, organised by the Chhattisgarh Police, concluded on Friday February 27, 2026 in Durg under the chief patronage of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. Chief Minister Sai welcomed the players, coaches, and officers from various states and central forces and praised their performance.

Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Sai said that police personnel, besides fulfilling their law and order responsibilities, are also excelling in sports, which is a testament to their discipline and dedication. He said that archery has been a unique identity of the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh, and the state government is developing sports infrastructure in mission mode. An Archery Academy is being developed in Jashpur and national-level sports facilities in Nava Raipur, he added.
The Chief Minister said that sports promote discipline, health, and self-confidence, and also create new career opportunities for the youth. The state government is providing attractive incentives to Olympic medal winners to encourage athletes. He urged youth to participate in sports and urged parents to encourage their children, Sai noted.
At the event, School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav highlighted Chhattisgarh’s tribal traditions and rich archery heritage.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister honored six outstanding teams: CISF, Rajasthan, CRPF, Uttar Pradesh, BSF, and ITBP, by presenting them shields and formally declared the competition closed.
Ahiwara MLA Domanlal Korsevada, Director General of Police Arun Deo Gautam, along with public representatives and police department officials were present on the occasion.
