Government ration shop employees will be on strike from October 1

Raipur:. State President of Government Ration Shopkeepers and Vendor Welfare Association Chhattisgarh, Devarshi Bhai Sapariya has apprised the government of the problems being faced by all the shopkeepers of Chhattisgarh state, but the government is not listening to the problems of the shopkeepers.

The shopkeepers are upset and are forced to go on strike and will stage a dharna in Raipur on October 1 for their 6-point demand and will go on strike at the local level from October 2. Therefore, the ration shops will be closed.

State General Secretary Vijay Dhrtlahare has stressed on the unity of shopkeepers by holding meetings in all the district blocks of the state to make this movement successful and has called upon all the shopkeepers of the state to join the fight for rights strongly.

1, All the shops in Chhattisgarh state have been forced to use e-pass machines for distribution in the electronic weighing machine trial, but the quality of the said machine is very poor, which breaks down repeatedly, and proper arrangements, resources and instruments are not available for improvement, and even the incomplete resources that are available are very expensive, and there is also a big problem with the server, due to which the distribution system is affected!

2, Irregularities are being committed in the allocation of ration for the past 5 months, hence the storage and distribution system is completely affected, due to which unnecessary incidents like disputes and complaints are being faced between shopkeepers and consumers!

3. Shopkeepers are facing financial crisis. The amount of gunny bag, margin amount, e-pass margin amount, financial support amount is not paid on time and the margin amount has not increased by a rupee in 20 years. The current margin amount is very low, which should be increased to Rs. 250 per quintal in all the items and monthly payment should be made and the seller of cooperative group should be given Rs. 30,000 monthly honorarium, besides providing insurance facility of ration shop and seller!

4, due to disturbances in ration storage, there is a shortage in the shop, so storage should also be done through connectivity with e-pass machine and electronic weighing machine and 2% compensation should be given!

5, remuneration should be made mandatory for doing work other than ration distribution!

6, during the last corona period, free ration was distributed by taking DD amount from the shopkeeper for a few months, that amount has not been returned to the shopkeeper by the department till now nor has it been adjusted, it should be returned soon!

If the above 6 point demands are not met, then the Government Ration Shopkeepers and Vendors Welfare Association Chhattisgarh has announced that 15,000 government fair price shops in Chhattisgarh will be closed from October 1. And the shopkeepers are handing over their demands to the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh State,

Food Minister, Director, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Secretary, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Raipur Collector, Sub-Divisional Officer, Food Officer, Food Inspector. Also, shopkeepers of all the districts and blocks are being made aware to join the strike. And the shopkeepers are also holding meetings. In this, ration shops run by cooperative societies, gram panchayats, women’s self-help groups, consumer stores, food security cooperative societies, forest societies, LAMPS and other societies are being invited.

A protest demonstration will be held in Raipur on October 1 and the strike will continue at the local level from October 2. Due to this, 72 lakh families of the state will not get ration from October 1. Chhattisgarh government should sympathetically solve the problem of shopkeepers as soon as possible, otherwise there will be a food crisis for many families!
