Raipur: In the presence of Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, a grand Maati Ke Veer Padyatra was organised on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day in Jashpur city of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday November 13 , 2024 . Addressing the inaugural program of the Padyatra, Union Minister Dr. Mandaviya praised the important role of youth during the country’s independence and the Corona period
Dr. Mandaviya said that we should take inspiration from the life of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, who fought and sacrificed his life to liberate the motherland at the age of 25. He said that 6 lakh youth sacrificed their lives in the fight for the freedom of the country. He called upon the youth to take a pledge to fulfill the dream of a developed India and come forward to promote social concern. On this occasion, Dr. Mandaviya announced the construction of a fully equipped sports stadium in Jashpur city on the request of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
While addressing the inauguration program of Mati Ke Veer Padyatra, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that it is a matter of good fortune for Chhattisgarh and Jashpur that this program is being organised to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for announcing that Lord Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary will be celebrated on November 15, as a Tribal Pride Day in the country. The CM said that Prime Minister Modi has provided another big opportunity to the tribes to feel proud.
The Chief Minister further said that whenever there has been an attack on culture, the tribal society has strongly resisted it. Tribal culture is a culture of loving nature. This culture is a culture of harmony, peace and goodwill. This culture that loves arts is the origin of our tribal Sanatan culture. The concern to save tribal culture is the concern to save Sanatan culture. The glorification of tribal culture is the glorification of Sanatan culture.
The Chief Minister said that Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan and PM Janman Abhiyan are being run for the welfare of tribal communities. Prime Minister Modi started Eklavya schools to provide quality education to the children of tribal communities and Van-Dhan Yojana to increase income. Free treatment facility has been started for tribal communities under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The Chief Minister said that today there is a double engine government in Chhattisgarh. We have decided the strategy for the development of tribal areas. Our government is working to regain the ancient glory and splendor of tribal society.
The Chief Minister said that Naxalism in Chhattisgarh is now counting its last breaths. The roots of democracy are reaching remote areas. Basic infrastructure like roads, drinking water, electricity, education, health, communication are reaching the interior villages under the Niyyad Nella Nar scheme. We have resolved to build a developed Chhattisgarh for the construction of a developed India. This goal will be achieved with the participation of all. Maximum participation of tribal communities will be ensured in this work.
Exhibition of life stories of tribal heroes organized
In the inauguration program of Maati Ke Veer Padyatra, a video film based on the life of Dharti Ke Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda was screened. In the program, tribal youth who achieved remarkable achievements in sports and other fields and volunteers associated with Mai Bharat were honored. Munda Samaj President Shankar Ram Barla also addressed the program. A grand exhibition based on the life stories of tribal heroes, tribal culture and traditions was organized at Purana Nagar Ground, the starting point of Maati Ke Veer Padyatra program.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Tribal Welfare Minister Ramvichar Netam, Finance Minister and Minister in-charge of Jashpur district OP Choudhary, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tank Ram Verma, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, MPs Radheshyam Rathia and Chintamani Maharaj, MLAs Gomti Sai, Raimuni Bhagat, Ram Kumar Toppo, Sushant Shukla, State Women Commission member Priyambada Singh Judev including Prabal Pratap Singh Judev, Ranvijay Singh Judev along with other public representatives and a large number of youth and citizens were present.
