Serious allegations against West Bengal government in infiltration case
Responding to the discussion in the Lok Sabha before the bill was passed, Home Minister Amit Shah said, immigration is not an isolated issue. The government of the country has the right to know who comes to the country’s border, when he comes, for how long and for what purpose. Doing so is very important for security. Claiming to win the 2026 assembly elections in West Bengal, Home Minister Shah said that the 450 km border is still insecure due to the benevolence of the state government, but this will not last long. Shah said that he himself has appealed to the state government by sending letters 10 times, but cooperation is not being given. He said that the state government is sympathetic to the infiltrating Rohingya and Bangladeshi people, they are given Aadhar cards. Due to these reasons, questions are raised on the security of the country.
The world’s smallest minority population is safe in India
Referring to the legal action taken against people coming from other countries, Home Minister Amit Shah said, ‘India has a rich and glorious history towards refugees. The Parsi community came to our country to seek refuge and today they are completely safe. The world’s smallest minority population is living a safe and respectful life in India today.’
Why is this bill necessary
The Home Minister said, ‘People who come to India for business, education and investment are welcome, but those who pose a threat to our security will be closely monitored and strictly monitored. This bill will serve both purposes.’ He said, the Immigration and Foreigners Bill (Immigration and Foreigners Bill 2025) is very important to strengthen the country’s security and economy, promote manufacturing and trade, get global recognition for the education system and make our universities internationally reputed.
If this happens, entry will not be allowed in India
After this bill becomes law, there will be a complete, systematic, integrated and up-to-date record of people coming to India. Section 3 of this bill has a provision for entry ban. Under this, if a person is found to be a threat to national security or the country’s reputation, he will not be allowed entry.
No compromise on country’s security, security agencies also have important rights
He said that India is not a Dharamshala, where any person can come and settle for any purpose. Parliament has the right to stop anyone who is a threat to the country’s security. Also, this bill will also give legal provisions to the blacklist made by the security agencies.
