The central government has approved the double rail line project in Chhattisgarh. The total cost of these projects is about Rs 1,360 crore. 2 new railway stations will also be built in this. The Cabinet Committee has approved three projects of the Ministry of Railways. The total estimated cost of these projects is about Rs 6,456 crore. These projects will connect different parts of the country. These three projects are spread over 7 districts of 4 states including Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal. These projects will increase the Indian railway network by about 300 km. 14 new stations will be built under these projects.
This will connect many areas including two aspiring districts (Nuapada and East Singhbhum) to the rail network. About 11 lakh people will get rail connectivity from the projects. These routes are very important for the transportation of goods like coal, iron ore, steel, cement. The Union Cabinet has approved the construction of a 37 km new double rail line from Sardega in Odisha to Raigarh Bhalumuda in Chhattisgarh.
1 thousand 360 crores will be spent
Its cost has been estimated to be 1 thousand 360 crores. This rail line will covers 21 km till Bhalumuda of Raigarh. There will be two new stations in Chhattisgarh, Thangarghat and Dhaurabhanta. For this, 125.89 hectares of land will need to be acquired in Raigarh. At the same time, this project will take about 3 years to complete.
