Passport Seva Portal Down For 5 Days; Appointments To Be Rescheduled

The Passport Seva portal will be down for maintenance from 800 p.m on August 29 to 6:00 am on September 2. During this period, the system will be inaccessible to citizens and various authorities, including the Ministry of External Affairs and Regional Passport Offices. All appointments scheduled for August 30 will be rescheduled, with new times communicated once the system resumes operations

New Delhi: The Passport Seva portal will be unavailable for five days starting from 8:00 pm IST on August 29, until 6:00 am IST on September 2, due to scheduled technical maintenance.

“Passport Seva portal will be down for technical maintenance from 29th August 2024, Thursday 20:00 hrs IST to 2nd September, Monday 06:00 hrs IST. System will not be available during this period for citizens and for all MEA/RPO/BOI/ISP/DoP/Police Authorities. The already booked appointments for 30th August 2024 will be suitably rescheduled and informed to applicants,” a note on the Passport Seva portal said.

During this downtime, the system will be inaccessible to all users, including citizens, as well as various authorities such as the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Regional Passport Offices (RPOs), Bureau of Immigration (BOI), Indian Service Providers (ISP), Department of Posts (DoP), and local police authorities.
