Is Aamir Khan Ready To Marry For THIRD Time? Actor Says ‘I Need A Partner’-By-Nimansa Shekhar

Aamir Khan, who was previously married to Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, shares a warm relationship with both his former wives. During his interview on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast Chapter 2, the Bollywood actor-producer shared his take on the institution of marriage, and whether he’d tie the knot for a third time

Aamir Khan has given his two-cents on the institution of marriage. The Bollywood superstar, who’s been married twice, spoke on whether he’s ready to tie the knot for a third time. Aamir shares an amicable relationship with his two ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao even years after divorce.

During his appearance on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast Chapter 2, Aamir called marriage “a canvas” and said it depends on the partners how they paint on it. When Rhea asked him about his take on marriage and whether she should get married, Aamir quipped, “I have had two unsuccessful marriages, so don’t ask for marriage advice from me.” He added, “I don’t like living alone, I need a partner. I am not a loner, I like companionship. I am very close to both my ex-wives Reena and Kiran, we are like one family. Life is unpredictable, so how can we trust it? So marriages working depends from person to person.”

Rhea further proded him about his readiness to tie the knot again. The actor-producer said, “I’m 59 now, I don’t think I would be able to marry again. Mushkil lag raha hai mujhe, is waqt itne rishtey hai meri zindagi mai. I have connected to my family again, I have kids, and my brother and sisters are there.”

Aamir tied the knot with Reena Dutta in 1986. The couple has two kids – Ira and Junaid. Aamir and Reena got divorced in 2002. The actor eventually got married for a second time with filmmaker Kiran Rao. The two have son Azad through surrogacy. Despite parting ways in 2021, Aamir and Kiran continue to make films together. Their last collaboration was 2024’s sleeper hits, Laapataa Ladies, which was directed by Kiran and produced by Aamir.

Aamir is currently busy with the post-production of his upcoming feature fikm, Sitaare Zameen Par.
