The White Knight Corps said in a post on X, “This morning during a joint operation with the police in Chhatru, Kishtwar, there was an encounter with the terrorists.” He said that additional soldiers have been deployed.

The army named this operation as Operation Trashi

According to the report, three to four terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) are reported to be hiding. The army has named this operation as Operation Trashi. Along with this, the joint forces have intensified offensive operations against terrorists, their overground workers and supporters in Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said that these operations intensified after April 22, when Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) terrorists killed 26 innocent people in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam. In response, Pakistan fired heavy mortar shells targeting civilian facilities along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 200 houses and shops were destroyed in Pakistani shelling, while hundreds of border residents were forced to leave their villages and move to safer places.

Border residents have not yet fully returned to their homes, as security forces are still engaged in neutralising Pakistani shelling in Poonch, Rajouri, Baramulla and Kupwara districts. India had agreed to the ceasefire agreement decided by the DGMOs of both the countries on June 12. At the same time, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has made it clear that this agreement will be respected only as long as Pakistan does not allow any terrorist activity against India from its soil.
