Junior Doctor Hunger Strike: Reconciliation… Junior doctors ended their hunger strike after meeting with Mamta Banerjee

The hunger strike of junior doctors in West Bengal was going on due to the rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata, which has now been ended. After meeting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the doctors have put an end to this strike.

The junior doctors of West Bengal had gone on hunger strike for their demands. The state government had said that the doctors would have to end the hunger strike to attend the meeting, but the Junior Doctors Front, which is leading the movement, had clearly said that they would not accept the condition of the state government and their delegation would participate in the meeting while continuing the hunger strike.

A total of 45 minutes was decided for the meeting with Mamata Banerjee. On Saturday October 21 , October 19, West Bengal Chief Secretary Manoj Pant had invited the junior doctors to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today i.e. on October 21.
