From the Heart of India to Global Markets: Chhattisgarh Leads the Logistics Revolution — CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur: In a major milestone for Chhattisgarh’s rapidly expanding logistics sector, the state has flagged off its largest-ever copper concentrate export consignment, totaling 12,000 metric tons, to China through the Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Nava Raipur. The first rake, carrying 2,200 metric tons, was despatched on Tuesday November 11, 2025, bound for Visakhapatnam Port, from where it will be shipped overseas.

Developed under the Department of Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh, the Nava Raipur MMLP is emerging as a strategic gateway for Central India’s trade and industrial growth. Equipped with state-of-the-art cargo handling systems, seamless rail connectivity, and multimodal integration, the facility is enabling industries both within and outside the state to access global markets with unprecedented efficiency.

This milestone underscores Chhattisgarh’s transformation into a logistics and industrial powerhouse, driven by world-class infrastructure, efficient connectivity, and proactive governance.

The export marks a defining step in integrating the state’s mineral and industrial output with international trade corridors, signaling the region’s growing economic relevance in India’s logistics map.

To accelerate this progress, the Government of Chhattisgarh has launched the Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy 2025, a forward-looking framework designed to position the state as a leading logistics hub by 2047. The policy aims to develop modern multimodal infrastructure, reduce logistics costs, promote exports, and generate large-scale employment. It also extends attractive incentives for logistics parks, warehousing, and cold storage facilities, ensuring balanced regional growth and sustainability.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the flagging off of Chhattisgarh’s largest copper concentrate export from the Nava Raipur Multi-Modal Logistics Park marks a historic step in the state’s journey toward becoming a logistics and industrial powerhouse. He said that the Government of Chhattisgarh is committed to building world-class logistics infrastructure that connects the state’s mineral wealth and industries with global markets.

The Chief Minister added that under the new Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy 2025, the government is focused on enhancing connectivity, attracting private investment, and creating large-scale employment opportunities, making Chhattisgarh a leading logistics hub of India by 2047. With the synergy of policy reform, strategic infrastructure, and industrial confidence, Chhattisgarh is not only connecting Central India to global value chains but also redefining the future of logistics-led growth in India.
