Pathalgaon: A big news is coming out from Pathalgaon area of Jashpur district, a case of gang rape of a 15-year-old tribal minor has come to light. It is being told that all the accused who carried out the incident are minors.
According to the information received, during a drama program in Palidih Gram Panchayat near Pathalgaon city, some minor boys found a couple in a field near Bahla Puliya in a deserted area last night at around 3 am. After this, about 5 minor boys who were passing by the path next to the field, approached them and asked what are you doing in the field, harassed them, snatched their mobiles and threatened them and gang raped the girl in front of the boy. The age of the minor accused is being reported to be between 12 to 16 years. At present, when the police came to know about the case, the police has started investigating the entire case related to gang rape.
Attempt at compromise fails
It is being said that in this case of gang rape, there is a possibility of settling the matter by mutual compromise meeting at the panchayat level between both the parties in the name of saving face, while the Sarpanch and Deputy Sarpanch of Palidih Panchayat have completely denied the fact of any compromise meeting being held. On the other hand, the police has taken cognizance of this case of gang rape and is saying that FIR will be registered promptly after the complaint of the victim and the accused will be arrested thereafter.
