Mahakumbh 2025: Central government will give Rs 2100 crore for Mahakumbh, first installment of Rs 1050 crore released

The central government has released the first installment of Rs 1050 crore for the divine, grand, digital Maha Kumbh. The Yogi government has already made arrangements for more than 5435 crore. After getting special assistance from the center, the organisation of Maha Kumbh will be enormous and safe.

A big ‘gift’ has been sent by the Central Government for the world’s largest cultural and spiritual gathering ‘Mahakumbh-2025’ starting from the coming January in Prayagraj. On the request of the Uttar Pradesh government, the Central Government has approved a special grant assistance amount of Rs 2100 crore and released Rs 1050 crore as the first installment. Let us inform you that the Mahakumbh is scheduled to be organised between January 13 Tp February 26, 2025 . A special request was made by the state government to the Central Government to approve the amount as a one-time special assistance grant from the Government of India for the safe organisation of the Mahakumbh Mela.

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is already spending Rs 5435.68 crore on organising the grand, divine and digital Mahakumbh. This amount is being spent by the government on 421 projects for the Mahakumbh. So far, financial approval of Rs 3461.99 lakh has been issued by the state government. Apart from this, 125 projects worth Rs 1636.00 crore are being implemented from the departmental budget head by various departments, including Public Works Department, Housing and Urban Planning Department, Bridge Corporation, Tourism Department, Irrigation, Municipal Corporation Prayagraj.

Under Mahakumbh 2025, infrastructure facilities, including railway overbridge, railway underbridge, strengthening and widening of roads, interlocking road including anti-erosion work along the river bank, construction of river front, theme based beautification of all the intersections, IT based monitoring etc. and arrangement of clean drinking water for the devotees are being operated smoothly under the action plan to develop Prayagraj as the best smart city in coordination with Smart City and Prayagraj Development Authority.

Apart from this, high quality arrangements are being made for cleanliness and sanitation of the city in coordination with Swachh Bharat Mission and Municipal Corporation, Prayagraj. Solid waste management and the city are being covered with 100 percent sewerage treatment.

Besides , various innovative experiments are being done under Mahakumbh 2025, including the construction of Digital Kumbh Museum and Tourism Route Circuit (Prayagraj-Ayodhya-Varanasi-Vindhyachal-Chitrakoot) etc. Under Mahakumbh 2025, excellent arrangements are being made for the movement and holy bath of devotees, tourists and visitors. Along with this, the aim is to develop Mahakumbh 2025 as a concept of Divine Mahakumbh, Grand Mahakumbh as well as Clean Mahakumbh, Safe Mahakumbh, Accessible Mahakumbh, Digital Mahakumbh, Green Mahakumbh.
