Mallikarjun Kharge askes Modi government on completion of 100 days – what about those promises…

New Delhi : Congress has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. Congress has said that he has completely failed to fulfill the promises of his 100-day agenda in the first 95 days of his third term. Referring to 7 major areas, the party claimed that the government has failed in every area from national security to dealing with economic issues and governance related flaws. It is worth mentioning that the government will complete 100 days on September 17. PM Modi’s 74th birthday is also on this day.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said in a post on social media platform X, “In the recent past, there have been terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in Jammu, where many brave soldiers of the Indian Army have been martyred.” He also mentioned the violence in Manipur, which has been going on for 16 months. Accusing Modi of ignoring a major internal crisis, he said, “Manipur is burning and Prime Minister ji you do not even have time to see the state.”

Government is cheating the youth-Kharge

Describing the current financial budget as an ‘anti-people’ budget, the Congress party alleged that this budget is a budget that will break the back of the poor and the middle class. Referring to the allegations of financial manipulation involving the Prime Minister and industrialist Gautam Adani, the Congress President said, “The Modi-Adani mega scam and the new revelations of the SEBI chairman’s omission and commission cannot be suppressed any more.” Kharge also expressed his displeasure over the government’s way of dealing with unemployment. He accused the government of cheating the youth, citing the widespread issues of NEET paper leak and alleged unemployment.

Expressways, bridges, roads, tunnels, whatever you built has collapsed’

Kharge said, “Be it the statue of Pujya Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Maharashtra, the roof of airports, the new Parliament or the temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, expressways, bridges, roads, tunnels, whatever you have claimed to have built, all of them have flaws.”

He further accused the government of endangering railway safety and failing to provide adequate relief to flood-affected states. He alleged that the Modi government was forced to take a ‘U’ turn in UPS and support the Constitution over lateral entry. Kharge said, “Nobody knows what your agenda was for 100 days. But in 95 days the country is suffering serious consequences due to your inaction!”

What was the plan of the Modi government

Before the general elections, the Modi government had prepared an ambitious plan for its first 100 days. Its purpose was to prepare the foundation for its third term. The agenda was expected to include 50 to 70 goals divided into 3 categories – immediate (Category A), medium-term (Category B), and long-term (Category C). Category A goals, which were the most urgent, were to be announced by PM Modi himself. Category B goals were to be announced by Union ministers within the first few days of the government while Category C goals were to be implemented in the next 2 to 3 years
