Police investigation revealed that the deceased Saurabh used to work in a bakery in London and used to come to India once a month. Police say that Saurabh had told that he was in the Merchant Navy. Meanwhile, his wife Muskan developed a love affair with Sahil Shukla in Meerut. In such a situation, both of them hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Saurabh.
Muskan, Saurabh, Sahil
On the night of March 4, Muskaan mixed a sedative in her husband’s food, due to which he became unconscious. After this, she called her lover Sahil home. Both of them together first stabbed Saurabh on the chest with a knife, then slit his throat and killed him. Not only this, to dispose of the body, both of them cut off Saurabh’s hands and the next day bought a big plastic drum, cement and sand from the nearby market. They put the body in the drum and filled it with cement and sand and kept it in the room.
After the murder, the accused went to Shimla without any worry. By the time they returned on the night of March 17, the police had expedited the investigation of the case. When the police interrogated them strictly, both the accused confessed their crime. On their indication, the police recovered Saurabh’s body from the drum and also seized the knife and razor used in the incident.
After the murder, Muskaan took her husband Saurabh’s phone with her. She was talking to relatives posing as Saurabh so that no one would suspect. On Holi, she also chatted with Saurabh’s sister Chinki. Meerut’s SP City Vikram Singh said that after the murder, Muskaan and Sahil went to Shimla for a trip. They were behaving as if nothing had happened. After the murder, Muskaan also chatted with Saurabh’s sister Chinki from his phone, so that no one would suspect anything. When Chinki asked Saurabh the reason for not bringing his daughter Pihu along, Muskaan replied posing as Saurabh that the daughter’s health deteriorates. During the chat, Holi greetings were exchanged between the two and a Holi party was also discussed. During this time, no one had even the slightest doubt that Saurabh was not alive and his wife was talking from his phone. When the family found something suspicious, Chinki made several calls to Saurabh on WhatsApp. But there was no response, so the family’s suspicion began to deepen. Then the search for Saurabh was started.
Currently, the police have arrested both the accused and started legal action against them. This horrific incident that happened in UP’s Meerut has become a horrific example of the destruction of relationships and crime in the blind race of love affairs.
