Modi government orders to remove NSG commandos from VIP security, CRPF soldiers will take charge of security

The order will come into effect from next month.

New Delhi: The central government has ordered that NSG commandos be removed from all VIP security duties. Because they will be used only for anti-terrorism operations. The command of the security of VIPs who are in high danger will now be handed over to CRPF. The order will come into effect from next month. CRPF jawans who have retired from the security of Parliament have been sent to the CRPF VIP Security Wing after giving them special training. A new battalion has been formed for this. Now these jawans will protect VIPs. If sources are to be believed, there are currently 9 Z-plus category VIPs, whose security is done by NSG’s Black Cat Commandos.

These VIPs including Rajnath and Yogi have NSG security. These are- UP CM Yogi Adityanath, BSP supremo Mayawati, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, former Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, NC leader Farooq Abdullah, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Now NSG commandos will be removed from them. CRPF Security Wing will take over the command.

CRPF has 6 security battalions, now the seventh has been formed CRPF already has 6 VIP security battalions. With the new battalion, this number will become seven. The new battalion was engaged in the security of Parliament till a few months ago. Now this work has been handed over to CISF. Rajnath and Yogi have Advanced Security Liaison Out of the 9 VIPs with NSG security, two i.e. Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adityanath have Advanced Security Liaison (ASL) protocol. Which has now been taken over by the CRPF. ASL means before a VIP reaches a place, there is a search of the place, security check, security check of location etc. CRPF will now do all this work for these two leaders. Before this, CRPF has been doing the work of ASL for Home Minister Amit Shah, former PM Manmohan Singh and all the three members of the Gandhi family.

Preparations for this were going on since 2012. Amidst the constant terror attacks in the country, VIP security is a matter of tension. In such a situation, there was a need on both sides. After a lot of deliberation, it was decided to deploy CRPF’s security wing for VIP security.

Special training was given. NSG will now be deployed only in anti-terror missions. A special strike team will be formed from NSG. The government plans to form a special elite force of soldiers selected from NSG commandos. Which will be called a strike team. So that a team capable of providing security to high-risk areas or responding to terror attacks can be formed. This team will also provide security to all the important buildings in the country including Ayodhya’s Ram Temple. NSG was deployed for VIP security two decades ago.

Why NSG is counted among the most dangerous forces of the world

Today is the 40th Raising Day of the National Security Guard (NSG). It is the best commando force of the country. Each of its commandos can single-handedly overpower dozens of enemies. Killing terrorists is not just their main job. They also handle hostage situations. They carry out secret missions. Be it surgical strike or spying before a war. Sky, land or water… anywhere they show death to the enemy. They are ready to both kill and die.
