More than 250 people who got separated from their families due to the dense crowd early in the morning on the first day of Maha Kumbh 2025 were reunited with their families by the fair administration

Prayagraj: More than 250 people who got separated from their families due to the dense crowd on the first day of Maha Kumbh 2025 were reunited with their families by the fair administration. Paush Purnima Snan Utsav was celebrated on the opening day of the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, during which lakhs of devotees gathered to take a bath in the holy Sangam. The Maha Kumbh will conclude on February 26

Various measures to trace people

To control the huge crowd, the Uttar Pradesh government has deployed personnel at ‘Bhula-Bhatak’ camps, police assistance centers and watchtowers built for the fair. Apart from this, many other measures have been taken. These camps have dedicated sections for lost women and children, as well as ‘Khoya-Paya’ (lost and found) centers equipped with digital gadgets and social media help.

Loudspeakers installed along the ghats

Loudspeakers installed along the ghats are constantly announcing the names of missing people, allowing people to be reunited as quickly as possible, while police and civil defense personnel are actively assisting the pilgrims.
