MP Brijmohan met Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari, discussing the speedy resolution of pending issues related to road construction
New Delhi/Raipur: MP Brijmohan Agrawal: With the aim of development of Chhattisgarh and strengthening road infrastructure, Raipur Lok Sabha MP Brijmohan Agrawal met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Thursday March 27 , 2025 . Durin gthe meeting , Brij Mohan Agarwal discussed in details many important pending cases related to road construction and repair in the entire state including Raipur and demanded necessary action for their early resolution.
MP Brijmohan Agrawal said that earlier correspondence was made to the concerned ministry regarding these subjects, but due to lack of expected action till now, he again placed these issues before the Honorable Minister. He urged that decisions should be taken on these pending issues on priority basis, so that the general public can get the facility of smooth traffic.

The pending issues on which MP Brijmohan discussed with Nitin Gadkari include 1. Construction of service road on Limatara bypass road of National Highway-200 (Simga-Limatara-Sargaon-Bilaspur)
- Necessary action to increase the service road of Raipur Ring Road-1 (NH 53) from 5 meters to 11 meters
- Construction of grade separator at the junction of National Highway-30 (Shadani Darbar) and Express Highway
- Providing interchange facility at Abhanpur-Rajim-Gariaband National Highway crossing on Raipur-Visakhapatnam Expressway under Bharatmala Project
- Raipur-Durg NH Renovation of 53 main roads and service roads
- Process of handing over the express highway constructed from Raipur Railway Station to National Highway-30 junction to National Highway Authority of India (NHAI)
- Extension of the proposed Samridhi Expressway for Nagpur-Gondia-Birsi Airport (Ravanbari)
- Construction of grade separator at the junction of National Highway-30 (Kamal Vihar)
- Early resolution of the land acquisition compensation issue is important for the construction of Raipur-Visakhapatnam 4/6 lane national highway.
MP Brijmohan Agarwal said that the construction work should be expedited by taking early decisions on these important projects of road infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. He requested Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari that if any action has been taken by the Ministry on these subjects, then its information should be provided and if any decision is pending, then necessary instructions should be issued and these should be completed soon.
He expressed confidence that with the joint efforts of the Central Government and the State Government, the road network in Chhattisgarh will be further strengthened, which will provide better transportation facilities to the citizens of the state and accelerate economic development.
