Raipur: The national Child health Scheme has become a boon for children. Especially those families whose financial condition is not good, who cannot go to other cities and get treatment in any private hospital. Tribal dominated Jashpur where people of special backward tribes also reside. This scheme is becoming a support for the poor and the needy.
There are many children like Anjali Bai, Anshika, Ritesh or these who were suffering from heart disease or any other disease. national Child health Program has worked to give them a new life.

Anjali Bai, born in a special backward tribe Pahari Korwa family in Sonkaryari, a small village situated in the forests of Manora development block of Jashpur district. Whose heart disease has been treated with “Chirayu Yojana”. (Live long life Scheme ) When father Nanhu Ram, who runs the house by doing small jobs, came to know that Anjali has a hole in her heart, he was not able to understand what to do. After the initial examination at the community health center of Manora, she was examined by the Chirayu team. In which it was found that Anjali has a hole in her heart. Anjali was taken to a big private institute in Raipur and treated. Where Anjali recovered after a successful operation.
Under this scheme , there are children of many poor families in the district who have been successfully treated t under this scheme.
After examining Ritesh, son of Sudarshan Chauhan, a resident of Puranitoli of the district headquarters, in a private hospital, it was found that he has a hole in his heart. Getting treatment in a private hospital was very difficult for his father, who was hand to mouth . Then he took his child to the district hospital. Where the doctors in the hospital informed about the Chirayu scheme and sent him to Raipur for better treatment, where after the operation and better treatment, the child is healthy today.
Similarly, after initial treatment of Anshika, daughter of Kritibai and Dhaneshwar Yadav of village Behratoli of development block Kunkuri, for her serious heart disease at Raipur Medical College, Sathya Sai Medical Institute and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Anshika’s heart operation was done at Apollo Hospital, Chennai. The total cost of which was Rs 14.50 lakh, which was borne by the government under the Chirayu scheme.
Likewise under Chirayu Yojna , 2-year-old Anvi Bai, 9-year-old Anant Nayak, 9-year-old Kumar Nayak suffering from congenital heart disease were successfully treated at Apollo Children’s Hospital, Chennai. Under this scheme, Novel Bhagat, resident of Chirabagicha located at the district headquarters, and Garvit Singh of BTI Para were also successfully treated free of cost for congenital lip and palate deformity in a private hospital in Raipur.
It is worth mentioning that under the Chirayu scheme, the complete health of children is checked by visiting Anganwadi centers and schools. After examination, children are treated under the Chirayu Yojana after knowing about 44 types of diseases and deformities. If needed, children are taken to good hospitals across the country for treatment.
