Naxals’ plans failed in the encounter, huge amount of explosives and material recovered

Sukma: A fierce encounter took place between security forces and Naxalites in the forests of Karakanguda and Bhimapuram villages under the new camp Raigudem area of ​​​​Sukma district. This encounter took place under the Naxal eradication campaign being run under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Bastar Range Sundarraj P. and senior officers.

The Naxalites ambushed the security forces and fired, but the soldiers gave a befitting reply in self-defense. After this encounter that lasted for about 20-25 minutes, the Naxalites fled taking shelter in the forest and hills. A large amount of Naxalite material and explosives have been recovered from the spot.

The recovered materials include bombs, Naxalite literature, PLGA red flag, bows and arrows, first aid kits, digital watches, mobile chargers, wires, medicines and clothes. The security forces returned to the camp after completing the operation safely .
