Nehru Ram Nishad has been appointed as the Chairman of Chhattisgarh Backward Class Commission. Currently, Nishad is the state convener of BJP Fisherman Cell. According to the information, Nehru Ram Nishad, a resident of Dhamtari district, has been active in the party for a long time. He has done MA and M.Phil in Geography. He has also been the President of Dhamtari Nishad Samaj.

Appointments have been made in the recent past also
Recently, appointments were made in various authorities in Chhattisgarh. Vice-presidents of Surguja Development Authority, Bastar Development Authority, Scheduled Caste Development Board, Central Region Tribal Development Authority and Chhattisgarh State Rural and Other Backward Classes Area Development Authority were appointed. Pathalgaon MLA Gomti Sai was made the Vice-President of Surguja Development Authority. Lata Usendi got the responsibility of Bastar. An order was issued to appoint Arang MLA Guru Khuswant Sahib as Vice-President of Scheduled Caste Authority, Durg Rural MLA Lalit Chandrakar as Vice-President of Backward Classes Development Authority and Marwahi MLA Pranav Kumar Marpachchi as Vice-President of Central Region Tribal Development Authority.
