PM Modi also said that the ceasefire during Operation Sindoor happened when he received a call from Vice President JD Vaughn and Pakistan requested for it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a long phone conversation with US President Donald Trump at his request. During this, PM Modi discussed in detail the events that took place between India-Pakistan and America on Operation Sindoor. PM Modi clearly told President Trump that during Operation Sindoor, topics like India-US trade deal or mediation by America between India and Pakistan were never discussed at any level to reach a ceasefire.

In the conversation, PM Modi made it clear to Trump that India has never accepted, does not accept and will never accept any mediation between India and Pakistan. PM Modi said that India is completely politically united on this issue.

Giving detailed information about the phone call between PM Modi and President Trump, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that the meeting between PM Modi and President Trump was scheduled to take place on the sidelines of G-7. Let us tell you that PM Modi had gone to Kananaskis, Canada to attend the G-7 Summit. President Trump had to return early from here, due to which this meeting could not take place.

After the on the request of President Trump, both the leaders talked on the phone today. This conversation lasted for about 35 minutes.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that on April 22, President Trump had expressed condolences to PM Modi over the phone. And expressed support against terrorism. This was the first conversation between the two leaders after this.

PM Modi clarified the scene on ceasefire

It is worth noting that when India responded to Pakistan’s Pahalgam attack under Operation Sindoor, President Trump kept taking credit for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Trump publicly said from many platforms that he brought about a ceasefire between India and Pakistan citing trade.

The Foreign Secretary, citing the conversation between PM Modi and Trump, said that PM Modi talked to President Trump in detail about Operation Sindoor. PM Modi clearly told Trump that after April 22, India had told the whole world about its determination to take action against terrorism.

PM Modi said that on the night of 6-7 May, India had targeted only terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. India’s actions were very measured, precise and non-escalatory. India also made it clear that India will respond to Pakistan’s bullets with shells.

In the conversation, PM Modi clarified everything about the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. PM Modi said that on the night of 9 May, Vice President Vance had called Prime Minister Modi. Vice President Vance had said that Pakistan can launch a big attack on India.

Prime Minister Modi told him in clear words that if this happens, then India will give an even bigger reply to Pakistan. India gave a very strong reply to Pakistan’s attack on the night of 9-10 May and caused a lot of damage to the Pakistani army. Its military airbases were rendered inoperable.

PM Modi told President Trump that due to India’s befitting reply, Pakistan had to request India to stop military action.

Prime Minister Modi clearly told President Trump that during this entire incident, at no level, were there any talks on topics like India-US trade deal or mediation by America between India and Pakistan.

Ceasefire was discussed between India-Pakistan Army, Pakistan had requested

Let us tell you that Trump has been saying time and again that he has got ceasefire done between India and Pakistan by citing trade. Trump has been continuously taking credit for this on international and national forums. But this time PM himself made it clear in front of President Trump that the matter of stopping military action was discussed directly between India and Pakistan through the available channel between the two armies and it was done on the request of Pakistan.

Mediation is not acceped, nor will it be accepted- PM Modi

PM Modi has completely rejected any attempt of American mediation between India and Pakistan. According to Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Prime Minister Modi emphatically told Trump that India has never accepted mediation, nor does it accept it, nor will it ever accept it. There is complete political unanimity in India on this issue.

Trump tried to mediate

It is worth mentioning that US President Donald Trump once again said on June 13 that he can solve any problem. On a question about the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan, Trump said that there has been a long-standing enmity between the two countries. He will bring the two countries together. Trump’s statement came when White House spokesperson T Bruce, on a question about the US President’s intervention in the Kashmir issue, said that he can do anything.

But today Prime Minister Modi himself clearly rejected this offer repeatedly coming from America.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that President Trump understood the things told in detail by the Prime Minister and expressed support for India’s fight against terrorism.

Prime Minister Modi also said that India now sees terrorism as a war and not a proxy war, and India’s Operation Sindoor is still going on.

Trump said – can we stop in America

The Foreign Secretary said that President Trump asked Prime Minister Modi if he could stop in America on his way back from Canada. Prime Minister Modi expressed his inability due to pre-scheduled programs. The two leaders then decided that they would try to meet in the near future.

Israel-Iran also discussed

The Foreign Secretary said that President Trump and Prime Minister Modi agreed on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran that for peace as soon as possible, direct talks between the two sides are necessary and efforts should be made for this.

The two leaders shared their perspectives regarding the Indo-Pacific region and expressed support for the important role of QUAD in this region.

Trump ready for India visit

Prime Minister Modi invited President Trump to visit India for the next meeting of QUAD. President Trump accepted the invitation and said that he is eager to come to India.
