Nitesh Kumar creates history in Paralympics, wins gold for India in badminton

Nitesh Kumar defeated Great Britain’s Daniel Bethell in the badminton singles SL3 final and won the gold medal. Nitesh Kumar performed brilliantly in the first set. He did not give his opponent a chance to survive. Daniel Bethell flopped badly against Indian player Nitesh Kumar. Nitesh displayed a brilliant game. He maintained the lead from the beginning. That is why he won the set 21-14.

Close contest in the last game
Rajasthan-born Nitesh Kumar won the first game easily. He was leading in the second game as well. However, Bethell made a comeback and won. This way the match reached the third game. Bethell also got a match point. However, Nitesh did not let him succeed and won the game 23-21 to put the gold medal in India’s bag.

Takes revenge of World Championship
Nitesh Kumar had to be content with a bronze medal in the World Championship this year. where Nitesh lost to Bethel in the semi-finals. But now he has completed his revenge by defeating Bethel in the final of the Paralympics.

In the year 2022, Nitesh won the silver medal in the World Championship. Last year, he got gold in men’s doubles in the Asian Para Games while he had to be satisfied with silver in singles.
