Raipur: The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved Rs 892 crore 36 lakh for the development of eight road sections in Chhattisgarh. From this amount, work will be done for the development and upgradation of about 324 km of roads in six districts of the state. Today on Monday October 14 , the Government of India has sent the order for approval of the amount to the Secretary of the Public Works Department of the state government. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry for giving such a huge amount for the constructions and development of roads in the state.
CM Sai specially thanked Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari . Chief Minister Vishnu deo Sai expressed his gratitude to the Government of India for this amount sanctioned from CRIF and said that the central government is continuously supporting the construction of roads in the state. With this amount, eight road sections in Bemetara, Mungeli, Rajnandgaon, Jashpur, Bilaspur and Khairagarh districts will be widened, strengthened and upgraded.
