Even after the incident of brutality (Kolkata Doctor Rape Murder Case) with a female trainee doctor in the government RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, the cases of atrocities against women are not stopping in Bengal.

The latest two cases have once again shaken Bengal. At the same time, the working style of the Mamata Banerjee government and the police has been put in the dock. A case of sexual exploitation of an innocent has come to light in Howrah District Hospital (Howrah District Hospital Rape case). In this case, the accused medical technician of the hospital has been arrested. At the same time, a man raped a minor in Bhajanghat of Krishnaganj in Nadia (Nadia Rape Case) and then also threatened her.

Hearing all these incidents the opposition including BJP has targeted the Mamata government regarding women’s safety in the state. BJP has demanded resignation from Mamata Banerjee.

Sexual abuse of an innocent in Howrah District Hospital

On August 28, a 12-year-old girl was admitted to Howrah District Hospital due to chest pain. On Saturday August 31, while taking the victim for CT-scan, a technician misbehaved with her. On getting information about the case, the police of Howrah police station reached the spot. During this, the police have arrested the accused.

Rape of a minor in Nadia

A man raped a minor in Bhajanghat of Krishnaganj in Nadia and then threatened her. This incident of rape took place on Saturday August 31, 2024) evening. It is said that the teenager was returning home after shopping, when a neighbor forcibly dragged her into the garden and raped her there. After this, he threatened to kill her if she told about anyone. The victim came home and informed the family about this. The family has lodged a complaint with the police. Hearing all these incidents there is a lot of anger among the local people hence demanded strict punishment for the accused as soon as possible.

BJP again attacks TMC

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya has targeted the Mamata government over the atrocities on women in West Bengal. He wrote on social media, ‘In West Bengal, four new cases of sexual harassment have been registered on the first day of September, 2024. West Bengal is the most unsafe state for women while Mamata Banerjee is the Chief Minister. She has not done any work to implement strict rules and set up fast track courts to punish the accused in rape and POCSO cases. She should resign from the post of Chief Minister.

Mamata government under fire for rape and murder of trainee doctor

Let us inform you you that on 9 August 2024, the body of a female doctor was found in the seminar hall of RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata. Since then, resident doctors have been demanding justice for the victim in the case. A 31-year-old postgraduate resident doctor posted on duty at the government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered on the night of August 8. Officials recovered the half-naked body of the second-year student in the seminar hall of the Chest Medicine Department, which bore several injury marks. At the same time, a shocking revelation has been made in the post-mortem report.
