Our efforts are that Naxalites should give up the language of bullets, surrender and join the mainstream: Chief Minister Sai

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi yesterday October 7 . On the occasion of the meeting, he congratulated the Prime Minister on completing 23 glorious years of public service.

Giving information about the meeting, Chief Minister Sai said that on 7 October 2001, our illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Today, 23 years of his tenure as Chief Minister and Prime Minister have been completed. The Chief Minister said that he informed the Prime Minister about the work being done rapidly on the guarantee of Modi ji in Chhattisgarh. Along with this, he gave information about the schemes being run in public interest by the double engine government in the state.

Chief Minister Sai also told about the meeting of Naxal-affected states chaired by the Union Home Minister. He said that Chief Ministers, DGPs etc. of Naxal-affected states were present in today’s meeting. A good review was done in detail in the meeting. The Chief Minister said that in 9 months, continuous action has been taken against Naxal-terrorism. In the fight, the benefit of having a double engine government was also received.

Chief Minister Sai said that during this period many encounters took place in which the security forces killed 194 Naxalites. He said that our security forces are continuously showing courage. We congratulate them and salute their courage. Within 9 months, 801 Naxalites have been arrested and 742 Naxalites have surrendered.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that our effort is to provide good facilities to those who are surrendering. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma visited many states to improve the rehabilitation policy. He recently went to Assam and also saw the rehabilitation policy there. We are trying to provide them the best facilities. We are trying to make Naxalites surrender by giving up the language of bullets and join the mainstream of development.

Chief Minister Sai also said that two days ago we went to Bijapur and gave appointment letters to 70 people who are from Naxal-affected families. We have handed over appointment letters earlier also. Our government is continuously working for their facilities. Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma and Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Pankaj Jha were also present during the discussion.
