The Foreign Secretary said that Pakistan has been carrying out terrorist attacks in India for decades and has been misleading the world. He said that many global terrorists on the UN list are roaming freely on Pakistani soil, including terrorists like Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed. Along with this, terrorist organisations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed are also flourishing there.

New Delhi: After Pakistan’s attempt to target 15 cities, India retaliated on Thursday May 8, 2025 under Operation Sindoor. In this action, India destroyed the Lahore Air Defense System. On this issue, a press conference was held by the Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday, in which detailed information was given about this. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that the terrorist attack in Pahalgam was an act of provocation, while India has taken a restrained and precise retaliatory action.

Misri said that Pakistan has been carrying out terrorist attacks in India for decades and misleading the world. He said that many global terrorists included in the UN list are roaming freely on Pakistani soil, which includes terrorists like Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed. Along with this, terrorist organisations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed are also flourishing there. Misri also said that in recent times, Defense Minister and former Foreign Minister of Pakistan have admitted about Pakistan’s relations with terrorists.

PAK Does not take action on evidences

Regarding the claim of impartial investigation of previous attacks including Pahalgam terror attack, Misri said that everyone knows the history and track record of Pakistan. From the terrorist Ajmal Kasab caught in Mumbai attack to Pathankot attack, solid and forensic evidence was handed over to Pakistan. But despite India’s appeal, no action was taken against the masters of the terrorists. That is why, on the basis of experience, it can be said that Pakistan does not take any action against such terrorists, rather tries to hide its face by using these evidences as a shield.

He further said that the responsibility of the Pahalgam terror attack was taken by TRF, which is said to be a front of the Pakistan-sponsored terrorist organisation Lashkar. Information regarding this was also provided to the United Nations Security Council by India. But the interesting thing is that when the UNSC was talking about issuing a statement on the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan itself opposed including the name of TRF in that proposal. This is when TRF itself had taken responsibility for the Pahalgam attack twice.

Army in funeral procession of terrorists

The Foreign Secretary said that Pakistan is claiming that civilians have died in the strike, if this is so then their coffins are being given state honours by wrapping them in flags and army officers are attending their funeral processions, is the funeral procession of civilians carried out like this in Pakistan? Perhaps this is an old tradition of carrying out funeral processions of terrorists in this manner in Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan is also claiming that India targeted religious places which is completely wrong. India has only targeted terrorist hideouts. He said that on the contrary, Pakistan itself broke the ceasefire and targeted the Gurudwara in Poonch on the LoC and attacked the houses of the Sikh community, killing three people. Apart from this, 16 people have died in the firing from across the border.
