America:. Quad leaders praised PM Modi and India for leadership in the Indian Ocean. At the Cancer Moonshot program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘I heartily congratulate President Biden for organising this program. It reflects our shared determination for affordable, accessible and quality health care. During the COVID pandemic, we took the Quad Vaccine Initiative for the Indo-Pacific and I am glad that in the Quad, we have decided to jointly face a challenge like cervical cancer. In cancer care, cooperation is essential for treatment. A very cheap cervical cancer screening program is going on in India on a large scale.’
At the Cancer Moonshot program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Along with this, India is running the world’s largest health insurance scheme and special centers have also been set up to provide medicines to everyone at affordable prices. India has also developed its vaccine for cervical cancer and new treatment protocols are also being introduced with the help of artificial intelligence.
India is ready to share its experience and expertise. Today many experts from India working in cancer care have joined us in this program. India’s vision is – One Earth, One Health. In this spirit, I announce support for $ 7.5 million for sampling kits, detection kits and vaccines under the Quad Moonshot Initiative.’
At the Cancer Moonshot program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘India will also cooperate in radiotherapy treatment and capacity building. I am happy that India will contribute 40 million vaccine doses under the GAVI and QUAD initiatives for the Indo-Pacific countries. These 4 crore vaccine doses will become rays of hope in the lives of crores of people. As you can see, when the Quad takes action, it is not just for countries, it is for people. This is the true essence of our human-centric approach.’
