PM Modi left after inviting his Kuwaiti counterpart to visit India; Know the importance of his visit

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, during the talks, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and PM Modi emphasized on deepening economic cooperation. Prime Minister Modi also invited a delegation of the Kuwaiti Investment Authority and other stakeholders to visit India to explore new opportunities in energy, defense, medical devices, pharma, food parks, among others.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Delhi after completing his two-day visit to Kuwait at the invitation of Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Earlier in Kuwait, he held talks with his counterpart Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. During the talks, he invited Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to visit India.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that during the talks, the two leaders discussed a roadmap to strengthen strategic partnership in areas including political, trade, investment, energy, defense, security, health, education, technology, cultural and people-to-people ties.

The Ministry of External Affairs also said that the two leaders emphasized on deepening economic cooperation. Prime Minister Modi also invited a delegation of the Kuwaiti Investment Authority and other stakeholders to visit India to explore new opportunities in energy, defense, medical devices, pharma, food parks, among others.

Cooperation in traditional medicine and agricultural research also discussed

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the two leaders also discussed cooperation in traditional medicine and agricultural research. They welcomed the recent signing of the Joint Cooperation Commission (JCC).

PM Modi honoured with Kuwait’s highest honour

At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also honoured with the Order of Mubarak Al Kabir by Kuwait. Prime Minister Modi shared its photo and wrote that he is very proud to receive this honour from the Emir of Kuwait. He dedicated this honour to the 1.4 billion people of India, the Indian community settled in Kuwait and India-Kuwait relations.

According to a report by Kuwait’s government news agency KUNA, PM Modi has been given this honour for taking the relations between the two countries to new heights.

The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir is awarded by Kuwait to the heads of state of various countries, foreign rulers and members of foreign royal families as a symbol of friendship. Earlier, this honour has been given to personalities like Bill Clinton, Prince Charles and George Bush.

Guard of honour at the Royal Palace
Prime Minister Modi was given a guard of honour on his arrival at the Royal Palace before being given the highest honour. He was welcomed by Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah present at the Bayan Palace. During this, bilateral talks were also held between them. Giving detailed information about this meeting, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that there was a discussion on raising India-Kuwait relations to a strategic partnership. He said that during this time the Prime Minister thanked His Highness the Emir for the steps taken towards the welfare of the Indian community.
