Prime Minister Narendra Modi may visit America in February. This came to light after talking to the new US President Donald Trump on phone on Monday. Trump himself revealed this. President Trump has said that Prime Minister Modi will probably come to the White House, the official residence and office of the US President, in February for a meeting with him.

Good friendly relations between Trump and Modi
Trump’s last foreign visit in his first term as President was to India. Trump and Modi have a good friendly relationship. Both addressed thousands of people in two separate rallies in Houston in September 2019 and Ahmedabad in February 2020. Modi was among the top three world leaders to speak to Trump after his landslide election victory in November 2024.
Expressed commitment to take the partnership forward
Earlier, the White House has said that the two leaders have expressed commitment to take forward the US-India strategic partnership and the Indo-Pacific Quad partnership. Also, plans for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the White House were discussed.
The two talked on the phone
The White House said that President Donald J. Trump spoke to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the phone. The two leaders discussed enhancing cooperation and deepening the relationship. They discussed a number of regional issues, including security in the Indo-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe. President Trump emphasized the importance of increasing India’s purchases of US-made security equipment and enhancing bilateral trade relations.
Friendship and strategic relations will be strengthened
The White House said that the two leaders discussed plans for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the White House.
