New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday November 16 , 2024 that he is looking forward to “meaningful” discussions at the upcoming G-20 summit in Brazil. The conference is based on the agenda set by the group under India’s presidency last year.
Prime Minister Modi will first go to Nigeria and then from there he will go to Brazil. PM Modi said, “In Brazil, I will participate in the 19th G-20 Summit as a troika member. India’s successful presidency last year made the G-20 the people’s G-20 and included the priorities of the Global South in its agenda.”
Apart from PM Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden will also attend the summit to be held in Rio de Janeiro on November 18 and 19, 2024 . India is part of the G-20 troika along with Brazil and South Africa.
PM Modi will also hold discussions to enhance bilateral cooperation
PM Modi said, “This year Brazil has carried forward India’s legacy. I look forward to meaningful discussions keeping in mind our vision of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’. I will also use this occasion to exchange views with many other leaders on furthering bilateral cooperation.”
