BJP leader Amit Malviya on Wednesday shared a video on his ‘X’ handle, in which former Union Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar has raised questions about the education of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. In this video, Mani Shankar Aiyar has said that Rajiv Gandhi also faced failure in Cambridge University, whereas passing there is considered easy. After this, he went to Imperial College, London, but he could not succeed there either. Mani Shankar Aiyar also questioned how a person with such a weak educational record was made the Prime Minister.

However, Rajiv Gandhi’s educational difficulties did not prevent him from entering politics. He became the Prime Minister of India after the assassination of his mother Indira Gandhi in 1984.

Mani Shankar Aiyar had also given a controversial statement on the India-China war

Earlier, Mani Shankar Aiyar had also given a controversial statement regarding the 1962 India-China war. He called it an ‘alleged invasion from China’, to which many people objected. Mani Shankar Aiyar made this statement during the release of Kallol Bhattacharjee’s book ‘Nehru’s First Recruit: Diplomats Who Made Independent India’s Foreign Policy’. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Mani Shankar Aiyar said, ‘In October 1962, China allegedly invaded India.’ The 1962 India-China War took place between October and November 1962. The Chinese troops crossed the McMahon Line and invaded and occupied the Aksai Chin region, which is part of India. He recalled an incident from the time when he took the Indian Foreign Service exam.
