

Raipur : Pragati College ,Raipur, observed Hindi Pakhwada Samaroh ( Hindi fortnight Celebration ) on September 18 through a commemorative event to impart the knowledge about Hindi and Its significance.’ This momentous occasion was orchestrated under the patronage of the Dr. Rajni Yadav, Assistant Professor, govt. J. Yoganandam Chhattisgarh College , Raipur





The event resonated with the presence of Principal of the College Dr. Somya Nayyar ,HOD Education Department Dr. K N Gajpal , HOD Journalism and Mass Communication Dr. Praveen Kumar yadav Administrator of the College Ms . Jyoti Thakur, Faculties Mr, Kumar Bahukhandi , Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Varma , Mrs. Upasna Srivastava, Miss Swaleha Nisa, Miss Chinmai Das, Miss Pooja , thereby rendering it a focal point of interest for a multitude of students. The eminent guest speaker Dr. Rajni Yadav was welcomed with floral bouquet.
The program was started by performing Saraswati Puja and lighting the lamp. followed by the speech of the Principal of the College Dr. Somya Nayyar . While expressing her views Dr. Nayyar said that Hindi language is our culture, mother tongue and like a mother. She said that every person should have knowledge of Hindi language.
Addressing the Teachers and students of Education and Journalism departments chief guest Dr. Rajni Yadav said that we should speak in Hindi always in our day to day life as much as possible . She said that we should be proud of our language. Hindi Day is celebrated on 14 September since Hindi language was declared an official language of India. Hindi is such a language which has a deep connection with our culture and country besides Hindi language is a powerful medium to express one’s feelings and emotions . At the closing session of the program Dr. Rajni Yadav also answered the queries of the students.
The program was conducted by the Head of the Department of Journalism, Dr. Praveen Kumar Yadavand vote of thanks was given by HOD Education Dr. KN Gajpal . He thanked Dr. Rajni yadav for her precious time and imparting her knowledge on Pragatinas .
Let us Inform you that Hindi Diwas is celebrated to honour the Hindi language and it in India’s culture and identity . It’s celebrated on September 14 to mark the day in 1949 when the Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi as an official language. The Constitution of India legalized this decision on January 26, 1950.
