Pragati College Raipur , Chhattisgarh organises a inter- class Dance Competition under ongoing Pragati Jazz Session-2024

With the aim of exploring the dancing skills of the students, an inter- class dance competition was organised by Pragati College, Raipur Chhattisgarh under its on going Pragati Jazz Session -2024 . The audacious dancers set the floor on the fire with their energetic performances autistic props , dashing costumes , sprightly moves and oodles of energy . The fun filled burlesque kept the audiences spellbound. The spectators witnessed the zeal and energy of young dancers as they enthralled everyone with their performances’ Presenting a unique example of Indian and Western music, the Pragatinas wove together many cultures of India. They showcased the unique culture of all faith. Presenting a unique example of Indian and Western music, the students wove together many unique cultures of every religion.

The program got commenced by Performing Puja of Maa Saraswati follows by Principal’s speech . In her inaugural speech Principal of the College Dr. Soumya Nayyar congratulated the students and said that dances are presented through the movement of body parts and songs, which is an excellent presentation of extraordinary talent, Principal said .

On this occasion, the students gave a message of unity in diversity and set a unique example of dances from various provinces of India. The competition was kept in two groups, junior and senior. The program started with the song Ghar More Pardesiya Tripti. Thereafter, Pihu Devangan took the fierce form of Maa Kali and forced everyone to stand up with a brilliant performance.

In the next episode, Krishna Radha Raas Rachane Lekha and group gave their mind-enchanting performance. Gaurav and group’s remix dance was full of energy, while Anushree’s Lavni dance was pleasing with full expressions. At some places, the stage was decorated with belly dance, at other places with songs from Punjab and South. In the midst of all this, Chhattisgarh’s culture was also not going to be left behind. Suva dance was presented brilliantly by Sonia Sahu. Harsh and group presented a remix dance of Hindi and Chhattisgarhi and forced the guests along with the audience to enjoy the dance on stage.

Asmita introduced a new presentation by including the dance styles of different states of India in a single song. In the end, Ashutosh and group performed a very good Ram Dhuni with the tableau of Shri Ram Chandra ji, seeing which everyone got immersed in Ram Bhakti and started dancing.

Ms. Ekta Pansari and Mrs. Sona Kulkarni were present as judges in this program. Who made today’s program even more interesting and enthusiastic with their dance style.

The college administrator Ms. Jyoti Thakur, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management Dr. Ramakrishna Rao, Head of the Department of Computer Mr. Mannu Ravani, Head of the Department of Education Dr. K. N. Gajpal, Head of the Department of Journalism Dr. Praveen Yadav and all the professors played a commendable role in making the program successful.
