A one day National Seminar on National Education Policy 2020 was organised on Friday October 4 underthe vision Developed India 2047 at Pragati College Chaubey Colony, Raipur. The program started with the performing puja of Goddess saraswati with offering flowers and lightning lamps .
In the welcome address of the seminar ,the Principal of the college, Dr. Saumya Nair said that the main objective of the National Education Policy is to develop the all-round development and inculcate skills in the students.
As a keynote speaker of the seminar , Prof. G.A. Ghanshyam (Joint Director – Higher Education), Raipur explained the utility of National Education Policy 2020 in a phased manner, he explained about incorporating “employment oriented and skillful education” based on India’s Gurukulam education system in the current education system. He said that the National Education Policy is all about overall development of the students.
In the technical session of the seminar , Dr. DK Srivastava (OSD Higher Education) explained the subject matter of the course in detail. He focused everyone’s attention towards employment oriented curriculum by explaining the need for changes in the curriculum according to time. Dr. Srivastava further said that under the National Education Policy, students will have the freedom to complete their curriculum on the basis of choice, skill and intelligence.
At the “Valedictory Ceremony”, special guest Dr. Shruti Jha ( Deputy Director -RUSA) gave the closing address and highlighted the main points of all the speakers and made a reflection on their accomplishments and the next phase of their lives. The speech of Dr. Shruti Jha was inspirational and persuasive.
At the end of the program, Dr. K.N. Gajal thanked all the respected dignitaries whose presence made the seminar a great success ,
