Indian government sources stated that President Putin’s visit will significantly strengthen economic cooperation. President Putin is traveling with a large group of businesspeople. India hopes to improve the trade deficit with Russia. Several avenues are being explored to increase Indian exports to Russia, including in the areas of pharmaceuticals, automobiles, agricultural products, and marine products. This will provide Indian businesses and products with a larger market, boosting job creation and the well-being of our farmers. Several agreements and memorandums of understanding are expected to be signed in the areas of shipping, healthcare, fertilizers, and connectivity. Further cooperation will also be seen in people-to-people ties, mobility partnerships, culture, and scientific cooperation.
