Rahul Gandhi in deep trouble: Delhi Police handed over the case of scuffle in Parliament to Crime Branch

BJP alleges that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi pushed the Lok Sabha MP due to which its senior MP Pratap Sarangi got injured.

New Delhi : Delhi Police had registered an FIR against Rahul Gandhi on Thursday December 19 , 2024 in the Parliament House premises scuffle case, which was handed over to the Crime Branch on Friday December 20, 2024 . The case has been registered at Parliament Street police station on the complaint of BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj, Hemang Joshi and Anurag Thakur.

Let us inform you that on Thursday December 19,2024 opposition and ruling party MPs demonstrated in the Parliament premises on the issue related to Babasaheb Ambedkar. During this, there was also scuffle between them.

Case has been registered under these sections

FIR was registered at Parliament Street police station under section 117 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 125 (act endangering the life or personal safety of others), 131 (use of criminal force), 351 (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (common intention) of BNS.

What is the allegation against Rahul Gandhi?

The BJP alleges that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi pushed and shoved in the Lok Sabha, due to which its senior MP Pratap Sarangi got injured. Sarangi was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi claimed that BJP MPs prevented him and other opposition members from entering the Parliament House and pushed and shoved them.

What did Rahul say?

Rahul Gandhi said that I was trying to go inside the Parliament. But BJP MPs were trying to stop me, pushing and threatening me. Rahul claimed that Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi were also pushed and shoved, but it does not matter to the opposition. This is the Parliament and it is our right to go inside. He said that the main issue is that the Constitution and the memory of Babasaheb have been insulted.

How did the controversy start?

In fact, when opposition members took out a march protesting Home Minister Amit Shah’s comment related to Babasaheb Ambedkar, BJP MPs protested accusing the Congress of insulting Babasaheb. Members of the ruling party and the opposition came face to face near the ‘Makar Dwar’ of the Parliament House and raised slogans.

What is the controversy about?

In fact, there has been a deadlock in both the houses of Parliament since Wednesday over Amit Shah’s remarks. Congress and opposition parties allege that Shah insulted Babasaheb during his address on Tuesday while responding to the two-day discussion in the Rajya Sabha on the topic ’75 years of glorious journey of the Constitution of India’. On the other hand, the BJP alleged that the Congress always insulted Babasaheb and even made him lose in the elections.

Pratap Sarangi had to get stitches, Mukesh Rajput had fainted

In the information given by Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, it was told that Pratap Sarangi, who came to the hospital after being injured, was bleeding a lot and he also had a deep wound. Therefore, he had to get stitches and Mukesh Rajput had fainted.
