Bhiwani: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday September 17 launched a scathing attack on Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha, calling him a “lie machine” who can lie in any language. Addressing a public rally here today, Shah challenged Gandhi to clarify his stand on whether the removal of Article 370 in Kashmir was good or bad. . In Parliament, they say Samajwadi Party MPs won in Ayodhya. Winning and losing is part of elections, but they claim they have defeated the purpose of Ayodhya. Modiji has installed Ram Lalla in a grand temple by doing a pran pratishtha ( Dignity of Life ) ceremony. This does not go down well with Rahul Gandhi,” Shah said.
Further intensifying his criticism of the Congress, Shah said soldiers had been demanding “One Rank, One Pension” for 40 years but the Congress never fulfilled that demand. Shah said, “I want to ask Hooda sahab that Haryana is a state which sends the maximum number of soldiers to the army. For 40 years, soldiers have been demanding ‘One Rank One Pension’, but the Congress never gave it. Then in 2014, people elected Modi ji as the prime minister and in 2015, he made it a reality. We started the Agniveer scheme, but the Congress, especially Rahul Gandhi, is politicising it. When I told Chief Minister Nayab Saini ji that the Home Department of the Government of India and the police across the country have given 20% reservation to Agniveers, I asked what he would do separately. He said he would give government jobs to all Agniveers of Haryana.
Shah said that Hooda and his cronies, whose sole focus is to spread lies, cannot be trusted. “I fulfil whatever I promise and Modi ji fulfils whatever he promises. No Agniveer will remain unemployed – this is the BJP’s guarantee. Strengthening the army has been Modi ji’s work,” he said. Shah said, “There is not a single district left in our 10-year government where we have not built quality playgrounds. After this, the BJP government will set up coaching institutes in every block and tehsil. Hooda sahab has ruled here for a long time. You tell me how much you used to procure on MSP. He procured only four crops on MSP, but Naib Singh procures 24 crops. The maximum procurement on MSP has happened during the 10-year rule of the BJP.”
The home minister also informed that in Bhiwani alone, PM Modi has transferred Rs 297 crore directly to the bank accounts of 1,40,032 farmers. Shah said, “Even during Hooda ji’s time, when the Congress was in power at the Centre, Haryana received Rs 41,000 crore, while Modi ji’s government has given Rs 1,43,000 crore in the last 10 years.” He further said that the country remembers Haryana for three main reasons. He said, “First, after independence, Haryana has sent the maximum number of soldiers to various fronts. Second, when the country had to import food grains and needed to fill the reserves, the farmers of Haryana played a key role. Finally, when India’s name comes in the rankings in the recently held Olympics and Paralympics, Haryana is at the top. Haryana has given brave soldiers and athletes.” Focusing on the Congress-National Conference alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah alleged that their agenda is to release all terrorists after the elections. He said, “There are elections in Kashmir and Rahul Gandhi went there and formed an alliance with Omar Abdullah. Their agenda is to release all terrorists after the elections and start talks with Pakistan. Till the time BJP is in power, nobody can look at Kashmir with ill intentions. They want to bring back Article 370. Whether it is Hooda ji or Rahul Gandhi, Article 370 will never be restored. We are the party that believes that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is also a part of India.” Shah at the end of his speech emphasised that thousands of soldiers from Haryana have been martyred for Kashmir and these people want to bring back terrorism in the region.
