Raigarh police conducted a big operation in cyber fraud, 14 accused involved in fraud of Rs 75 lakh arrested

Bilaspur – Raigarh police has exposed a big cyber fraud case in Kharsia police station area and arrested 14 members of an interstate cyber fraud gang involved in a fraud of Rs 75 lakh. Police Captain Divyang Kumar Patel has given information about this entire case in a press conference.

Police Captain Divyang Kumar Patel said that taking the case of cyber fraud seriously, a special team was formed under the leadership of DSP Abhinav Upadhyay, which has achieved remarkable success in solving the case. He further said that the victim businessman saw an advertisement on Facebook for the dealership of electric two-wheelers about one and a half to two months ago and contacted the given number.

The caller introduced himself as an authorised employee of the company and gradually duped the victim of Rs 75 lakh in the name of various charges. When the dealership was not given and the accused demanded more money, the businessman realised that he had been duped and lodged a complaint at Kharsia police station. Within 24 hours of the incident, the 9-member team raided several places in Bihar and in this week-long operation, bank accounts were checked, mobile numbers were analysed and bank CCTV footage was scanned.

The accused formed an organised syndicate and used to commit fraud in a total of 8 layers. Despite every possible effort to avoid getting caught by the police, this gang has been busted by the Raigarh police with its intelligence and efficiency. The investigation in the case is ongoing and more accused are likely to be caught in the near future.

The arrested accused include Saavan Kumar, father of Ram Babu, age 34 years, resident of Daulatpur, Kumar Vidyanand, father of Vidya Bhushan Prakash, age 37 years, resident of Piroja, Minku Kumar alias Sonu, father of Umesh Prasad, age 24 years, resident of Gulabchak, Vikas Kumar, father of Arvind Prasad, age 29 years, resident of Gwal Bigha, Nayan Pandey alias Praduman alias Bhargav, father of Vijay Pandey, age 25 years, resident of Nonaura, Pawan Kumar, father of Ram Naresh Kumar Mahato, age 36 years, resident of Basti, Satish Kumar, father of Raju Mahato, age 20 years, resident of Dharampur, Rahul Kumar, father of Ram Bachan Pandit, age 20 years, resident of Shakroda, Ankit Kumar, father of Munna Prasad, age 19 years, resident of Ward No. 70, Nandgola, Shubham Kumar Mahato, father of Naresh Mahato, age 29 years, resident of Basti, Anil Kumar Sharma, father of Ramdhin Sharma, age 40 years, resident of Hargawa, Pintu Kumar Pandey, father of Sunil Pandey, age 20 years, resident of Narora, Aarti Kumari, father of Sharmanand Mistry, age 19 Sal resident Jeevanchak and Pappu Kumar father Kamal, age 32 years, resident of Raipura Imli Chowk Post and Police Station Fatuha, District Patna Bihar are included.
