Raipur South candidate from NCP Sharad Pawar faction Brijnarayan Sahu resigns from the party

Raipur: As per the orders of Nationalist Congress Party supremo Sharadchandra Pawar and acting national president Supriya Sule, state in-charge Rajiv Jha, today the Nationalist Congress Party in Chhattisgarh has decided to support Congress candidate Akash Sharma in the Raipur South assembly by-election. Under the leadership of Nationalist Congress Party state convenor Purushottam Pandey, the Nationalist Congress Party handed over its support letter to Chhattisgarh Congress state president Deepak Baij and assured him that they will withdraw the name of the candidate(s) in the Raipur South assembly by-election and support the Congress candidate.

Meanwhile, Nationalist Congress Party Raipur South by-election candidate Brijnarayan Sahu, who was upset with this decision of the party, expressed his displeasure and said that the senior leadership had agreed to make me the NCP candidate, but now they have supported the Congress candidate without my knowledge, which hurts me, so he resigns from the Nationalist Congress Party.
