On the sacred festival of Mahashivratri, on the last day of Rajim Kumbh Kalp Mela, Naga Sadhus , saints and various Akharas took out a historic procession for the Royal Bath at 7 am from the Sant Samagam Sthal premises. In this procession, along with all the Nagas, saints and sages, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Rajim MLA Rohit Sahu along with local public representatives and officials from various departments also participated.
Various saints and sages were riding decorated palanquins, royal buggies and horses in the procession.
The procession started from the Sant Samagam Sthal and passed through the road behind Shri Kuleshwarnath Mahadev Temple, Nehru Bal Udyan, Rajim Bridge, Pt. Sundarlal Sharma Chowk, Gauravpath Rajim, VIP Road and reached the Shahi Kund built in the fair. The procession was welcomed by showering flowers at various squares in both the cities Navapara and Rajim. In the procession, Naga Babas, Sadhus and Saints armed with many weapons kept running the arena while showing bravery. The people who had come to the fair were also thrilled to see the Naga Sadhus dancing happily while brandishing swords and axes. Moving forward slowly, the procession reached near Shahi Kund. Here the Naga Sadhus jumped into the pond after worshipping the weapons as per the rituals.
Along with the Naga Sadhus , saints , Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Rajim MLA Rohit Sahu, Sanjay Srivastava, newly elected President of Rajim Nagar Panchayat Mahesh Yadav also descended to take a dip in the Kund. Local public representatives along with various Akharas also participated in the royal bath. Apart from the fair area, a large number of devotees and visitors had gathered near the Kund to see this spectacular view. After the royal bath, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, MLA Rohit Sahu reached Lord Kuleshwar Nath Mahadev Temple on foot. Where they prayed to Bholenath and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state.
Foreign tourists also participated to enjoy the grandeur of the royal journey. In view of security, there was a tight police security arrangement. In this royal journey, first of all the Naga sadhus of Sri Panch Dashnami Sanyashi Akhara, the three Ani of All India Panch Ramanandi Vaishnav Akhara, Sri Panch Nirmohi Akhara, Sri Panch Nirmohi Digambar Akhara, Sri Panch Nirmohi Nirvana, Panchayati Akhara Bada Udasin Akhara , apart from the saints and their followers of Ramdas Akhara, Ravidas Akhara, Bhairavi Shakti, Haridwar Mandali, Karib Panth, Satnam Panth took partin the procession and taken a dip on the auspecious day of Maha Shivratri .
