Ayodhya: Amid heightened public scrutiny over the alleged mismanagement of temple offerings, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has initiated the search for its first full-time Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to oversee the day-to-day administration and financial operations of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

The Trust has officially invited applications from eligible candidates, with the last date for submission fixed as 4:00 PM on July 18, 2026. The recruitment comes at a crucial time as the Trust seeks to strengthen governance, streamline operations, and reinforce public confidence following recent controversies surrounding temple donations.

The selected CEO will function as the chief administrative executive of the Trust and will report directly to the General Secretary, handling operational management, financial oversight, institutional coordination, and execution of policies approved by the Trust.

Who Can Apply?

The Trust has laid down rigorous eligibility criteria, indicating that it is looking for an experienced administrator with a strong blend of professional competence and religious commitment.

Age

  • Between 50 and 70 years.

Experience

  • Minimum 20 years of managerial experience in:
    • Government departments,
    • Public sector organisations,
    • Large institutions,
    • Corporate entities, or
    • Reputed public organisations.

Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university is mandatory.

Religious Eligibility

  • Applicants must be practising Sanatani Hindus.
  • Preference will be given to devotees belonging to the Vaishnava tradition.

Language Skills

  • Strong command over Hindi and English is essential.

Additional Preference

Retired officers who have served as the chief administrative officer of a temple or Hindu religious institution will receive preference during the selection process.

Selection Process

According to the notification, shortlisted candidates will undergo a formal interview before the final appointment is made.

The salary, benefits and service conditions will not be fixed beforehand but will instead be determined through mutual negotiation with the selected candidate, reflecting the seniority and responsibilities associated with the position.
