Raipur : Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage has received national recognition after the documentary “Ramnami”, based on the state’s unique Ramnami community, won the Best Documentary award at the 72nd National Film Awards. The achievement has been hailed as a proud moment for the state, bringing one of India’s most distinctive spiritual traditions into the national spotlight.
Expressing happiness over the honour, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated acclaimed filmmaker Bharatbala Ganapathy and the entire production team. He described the award as recognition not only for an outstanding documentary but also for Chhattisgarh’s enduring cultural identity and spiritual traditions.
