Teacher-less schools get teachers, children are getting regular and quality education

Raipur: The School-Teacher Rationalisation Policy implemented on the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has written a new chapter of positive change in the education sector of the state. Under this policy, balanced distribution of teachers has been ensured in educational institutions across the state, so that now no school is without a teacher and children are getting the benefit of equal and quality education.

It is worth mentioning that before rationalisation, a total of 453 schools in the state were without teachers. After rationalisation, not a single school is without a teacher. Similarly, after rationalisation, additional teachers have been posted in 4,728 single-teacher schools of the state. This step has not only regularised the operation of classes, but there has also been a significant increase in the attendance of children and enthusiasm for studies.

Its positive impact can be clearly seen in the primary school Bagdihpara located in Mainpat development block of Surguja district, where two teachers have been posted recently.

The newly posted teacher Ranjit Khalkho said that in the process of rationalisation, he got the opportunity to choose the school of his choice and he chose the remote Bagdihpara because he considers it his responsibility and good fortune to educate the children of rural areas. With the availability of two teachers, all subjects are being taught regularly in the school, which has increased the learning speed of the children and the confidence of the parents has also increased.

Now they are sending children to school regularly, due to which there is a continuous improvement in attendance.

Similarly, the village Kamkasur of Manpur development block of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki district is a recent example of this. The primary school with a registered number of 14 children in this Naxal-affected forest area, located 65-70 kilometers from the district headquarters, was without a teacher for the last one year.

The rationalisation initiative of the government led to the posting of a Pradhan Pathak here, which resumed the education of children and brought back a new enthusiasm for education among the villagers.

Similarly, rationalisation brought about a big change in Bhaktudera village of Sakti district. This primary school, which was dependent on a single teacher for years, is now being run by two teachers. This made the education of children systematic, increased attendance and strengthened the confidence of parents.

This initiative of the state government is not only improving the quality of education comprehensively, but is also ensuring that children from the most remote and backward areas of the state also move towards a bright and self-reliant future.
