The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has ordered the hospital and doctors to pay Rs 1 lakh for mental damages and Rs 15 lakh for negligence in treatment against Dr Manoj Lahoti, Dr Nitin Goyal, Dr Gagan Jhanwar and Dr Mohan Agarwal of Suyash Hospital located in Kota, Raipur, in a complaint of negligence in treatment. Dakeshwar Prasad Sharma, President of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, has given a decision. Apart from this, the commission has also ordered to pay Rs 10 thousand as litigation expenses. Advocate Bhupendra Jain fought this entire case on behalf of the complainant.

Advocate Bhupendra Jain said that Arvind Bhai Soni, Mrs. Heena Soni and Mridul Soni had filed this petition after losing their family members, brother, wife and son respectively. In which they had alleged that the deceased Himanshu Soni died due to a wrong injection after the operation in Suyash Hospital. In the petition, the party had claimed that he was admitted to Suyash Hospital for a laser operation of the urinary tract. But after the operation, the patient was discharged groaning in pain.

The next day he was again admitted to the hospital, where the doctors in the ICU gave him some injection, after which he died. After this, a petition was filed in the Consumer Commission on the basis of the PM report and all the documents. After which the Commission has given the above decision.
