In the last month of 2024, the case of Atul Subhash’s suicide shook the whole country. Troubled by his wife and in-laws, Atul shot a video before leaving, in which he completely exposed the shortcomings of the system. It was then thought that maybe something would change with Atul’s death. But not even a month had passed when a businessman from Delhi chose the path of suicide just like Atul. Incidentally, this ‘Atul Subhash’ of Delhi also exposed the system.

New Delhi : Earlier the case was from Bengaluru, where Atul had committed suicide, now the case is from Delhi. Here businessman Puneet Khurana has committed suicide. Just like Atul, Puneet also not only made serious allegations against his wife and in-laws, but before leaving he also made a suicide video of about an hour and told his heart out to the whole world. What was the dispute between Puneet and his wife Manika? Why did there often be fights between Puneet and Manika? Both wanted to divorce by mutual consent.
But despite this, what was the matter that suddenly worsened so much that Puneet had to commit suicide? We will try to get to the bottom of all these questions, so let’s start with the marriage of both. Puneet Khurana and Manika Pahwa got married in the year 2016. Both started a cafe together, but within two years, there started quarrels between them. Both wanted to divorce. Before the divorce could happen, Puneet committed suicide. The last conversation between the two was on December 30, 2024

for 15 minutes.

The next day, on 31 December, Puneet committed suicide by hanging himself in his house in Model Town. Before this, he recorded a 59-minute video. After the death of their son, Puneet’s family has made several serious allegations against their daughter-in-law Manika and her family. Puneet’s family, i.e. the Khurana family, says that Manika had made 5 demands in addition to the court’s conditions in the divorce case. This included a lawyer’s fee of Rs 70,000 per month. Manika even threatened to file a false case.

A day before Puneet’s death, i.e. on 30 December, Manika had also posted a post in which she wrote that she was in a toxic relationship, but is now free from it. However, the Khurana family says that all this is a conspiracy to divert attention. After the death of their son, Puneet’s family has handed over many evidences related to this case to the police, which includes the recording of the last phone call between their son and daughter-in-law i.e. Puneet and Manika. It is clear from this recording that the relationship between the two was very bad.

Not only this, the matter of extramarital affair and business dealings had also become very bad. It is clear that the relationship between the two had become very bitter and this bitterness ultimately took Puneet’s life. Puneet committed suicide by hanging himself in his room the next day. But the content of the video he made before committing suicide is also quite similar to Atul Subhash’s video. Puneet said that he is going to commit suicide because his in-laws and his wife are torturing him a lot.

Puneet talked about applying for divorce with mutual consent, but also said that his in-laws are pressurizing him with new conditions, which are beyond his scope. They are demanding 10 lakh rupees more. Now after this incident, Delhi Police is investigating the matter, although the police has not lodged any FIR in this regard, because in the investigation so far no evidence of inciting Puneet to commit suicide has come to light. According to the police, there has been a dispute over money transactions between the two families.
